I recently retired after 37 years in the Public Works business, with the past 13 as Director of Public Works for an Army Installation. I know good customer service and quality workmanship. From the time the serviceman Chris showed up to inspect my chimney through the work done by Eddie and his crew to install a stainless steel liner the work was done professionally. Chris provide me pictures of the areas needing repair and a detailed estimate of the work required. Eddie and his crew arrived within 2 hours of Chris notifying them of the work. Their workmanship was superb, the job site was cleaned and neat when they left. Both foreman were a pleasure to speak with and answered any question completely. I will be recommending to my neighbors that they also have their chimneys inspected by A-1 as several houses on the block were constructed in similar manner.

A1 Affordable Team (Chris +1) arrived right on time even though they called to inform there was alot of traffic! They were very respectful to our property and got right to work! Chris explained every step taken and I was provided pictures via text of every angle of the chimney. The repair was much needed and if it wasn't for A1 Affordable we wouldn't have known how severe things really were in the chimney.  I was really impressed by how much they did and how great it looks how. It took them about 2hrs to fully repair the stack, clean, lined, new metal tubing, wires. Just impressed! I received a follow up phone call next day about the work. Spoke to Sal , nicest guy! My house got sooted out , carbon monoxide alarms going off , fire department at my house around 9pm evacuating the property . I called local chimney companies around the Pottstown areas , and got no answer . My neighbor came across the street and asked what’s going on , thanks Tim !!! I explained everything to him and he recommended to call A1-Affordable that did multiple services at his home . I called A1 and Jessica picked up the phone . She listened to my concerns and said I’ll have a tech there within the hour . These guys arrived in less than an hour , assessed the situation and explained to me what was going on . I agreed to get the work done and they did the  job within 2 hour. My heating chimney collapsed and led to carbon monoxide entering my home . Technician Krish, or Chris , too much going on at the time and Fresnal , immediately started to work on unblocking the chimney and guided me through the whole experience. 2 hours later everything was completed and I was able to bring my tenants and family back into the house . My row house in South Philly is over 100 yrs old and I replaced a 40 year old boiler with Sila and they recommended A-1 and I'm so glad they did because looking at the photos - before and after - I realized I really needed that chimney liner.  A crew of 3 people came out and worked 4 or 5 hours and inspired my confidence.  They cleaned up and I will have A-1 come annually to clean my chimney and thereby I will maintain the lifetime warranty.

"Last week after we had an annual maintenance of our oil burner, our serviceman asked if we had ever had our chimney inspected. We told him that we had not. He referred A-1 Affordable. We contacted them and they performed an inspection of our chimney. They took pictures of the inside and upon review we saw that the tile inside was worn and had separations which was confirmed by the serviceman. This could lead to a potential fire in the chimney. They suggested, not forced us to think about having the installation of a new liner in the chimney with a cap. We agreed to have this done. Rather than having to wait to set up an appointment, they indicated they could do this the same day. That afternoon they were able to install the new liner and cap.
